Presentation of: Gite La Troglo a Plumes
An original 3-bedroom house on the Saumur coast, between the Loire and the vineyards, carved out of the white tufa rock typical of the region: bookable all year round for a weekend or longer stay.
Having retained the authenticity of a very rich medieval life, the bathroom, for example, was created in the centre of an old grape press from the Middle Ages.
Many other testimonies to the past can be discovered throughout the house!
This gîte, which has been awarded the "3 épis" label by Gîtes de France, has been completely refurbished and can accommodate up to 14 people. It's an unusual and atypical holiday rental in the Loire Valley, ideal for a get-together with family or friends.
Surrounded by an exceptional natural and built heritage, in the heart of the Loire-Anjou-Touraine Regional Nature Park, on the route of La Loire à Vélo and the GR3.
Access to the gîte is via an outside staircase: you descend around forty steps. The accommodation then has several levels carved into the rock and an outdoor terrace.
On the first level you will find: a fitted and equipped kitchen with a large open fireplace, a large living room with a wooden table and wrought iron chairs for 14 people, a sitting room with television and wifi internet connection, a large glass roof with a magnificent view of the Loire.
The terrace overlooking the Loire valley has garden furniture and a barbecue. It is accessible from both the kitchen and the living room. Panoramic views guaranteed!
On this level you'll find the bathroom and separate toilet, and a double bed in the sofa bed in the living room.
Half a floor down, you'll find the baker's room with the old bread oven and a decorative stove.
Go down a further level to discover the second sleeping area, comprising two bedrooms: Jardin d'Eden and the chambre des Moines (with its mezzanine accessed by a miller's ladder and its wood-burning stove). A shower room and separate toilet complete this level.
Enjoy your stay in this unique setting!
