MONUMENTAL TOUR A L'ABBAYE DE MAILLEZAIS

For the second time, the Vendée department is organising the Monumental Tour at Maillezais Abbey.

In the heart of this exceptional site, the Département de la Vendée is hosting the Monumental Tour, a unique concept created by DJ-producer Michael Canitrot, combining electronic music, video projections, lighting, history and architecture.

Having already graced such iconic monuments as Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris when it reopened last December, the Eiffel Tower for the centenary of Gustave Eiffel's death, and the Abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel, Michael Canitrot will be presenting a new set of electronic music accompanied by a breathtaking visual spectacle, showcasing this iconic heritage site in the Vendée. Surrounded by artistic guests and local talent, the show will last over six hours, offering an intense and varied musical experience.

His musical creations such as "Light Odyssey", "Change", "Niteroi", and recently "Icon", as well as his unique performances, make him a singular artist. The buzz around his project continues to grow, notably with the Monumental Eiffel show to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Gustave Eiffel's death (at the end of 2023) and the closing ceremony for the reopening of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, broadcast on TV channels around the world.

Over the course of the event, a number of artists will take to the stage to offer spectators an exceptional musical journey to the heart of electronic sounds. Alongside Michael Canitrot, the Monumental Tour will welcome :
- Romain Garcia, an up-and-coming figure on the French music scene, who performs all over the world and is signed to the biggest labels of the moment.
- Grace Kim, a Franco-Korean artist whose boundless energy is sure to get the crowd going
- and Diskay, a new artist from the region who has just released his debut album, a musical nugget exploring the different facets of "neoclassical" electro.
